Free Auction Valuation for Your Items

When you are ready to consign your item(s) we will give you a free auction estimate.  We provide a free initial valuation estimate for any item(s) you are wishing to sell whether you have a single item or an entire estate.  This is not an official appraisal but what we think the item will sell for at our auction.  Our valuation is based on researching previous sale results for similar or like items, the condition of the item, its provenance, as well as if your item is in or out of favor with buyers at the current time.  Due to certain economic events as well as other factors, we may discuss selling your item(s) now or at a later date in order to obtain the highest value. If you prefer not to sell your item(s) at auction we can discuss the potential for a private sale. 

There are several ways of obtaining a preliminary estimate: 

1. Bring your item(s) into our auction gallery. There is no charge for this service but it is best to schedule an appointment to ensure we have the time necessary to evaluate your property. If available you will also want to provide any appraisals, certificates of authenticity, history of the property (provenance), when you acquired the property and from whom, and any other pertinent information regarding the property. Based on the amount of property you bring in we may be limited in providing a preliminary estimate on everything until a consignment agreement is signed. 

2. Arrange for one of our representatives to visit you at your home. If the property to be reviewed at your home is considerable we may agree to set valuation estimates after signing consignment agreements. 

3. Arrange to have your item(s) shipped to our auction gallery. However, do not send anything to our gallery until a consignment agreement has been signed. 

4. Upload pictures and any other relevant data to our website. 

5. Arrange for a virtual initial valuation, i.e., by a video link such as Zoom. 

Depending upon the item(s) it may take us several days to provide you with a verbal estimate.
