Welcome to Michael Stephen Auctions

Our mission is to be a premier auction house where both buyers and sellers are welcome. In my role at Michael Stephen Auctions I am able to help both buyers and sellers achieve their goals. If you are a buyer we will guide you through the buying process, whether that includes searching for a particular item, selecting a desired item, placing a successful bid, or arranging for the shipment of your purchase. We are here to help you acquire pieces that will be treasured.  If you are a seller we will guide you through the process to list and market your item(s) and help ensure a successful sale price.

One of the best ways to establish the value of unique and rare items is through an auction. Auctions have been in existence for centuries and have proven to be a convenient and logical avenue for the acquiring and selling of items. Our goal is to continue this process and bring to the market unusual items of great rarity or value and make the auction market available to those who have not previously had such an opportunity, as well as to those who are familiar with the auction world. To facilitate this, we have developed a seamless process for both buyers and sellers in hopes of removing any obstacles for a potential buyer or seller.   To help both buyers and sellers we advertise our sales over the Internet and are able to accepts bids online from anywhere in the world.

Our auctions generally comprise fine arts, jewelry, silver, sculptures, and also items in the decorative area. We handle sales in numerous categories including Impressionist & Modern Art, Contemporary Art, Ceramics, Diamonds, Jewelry, Photographs, Sculptures, Silver, Watches, as well as many more categories. We are also available to sell the entire contents of magnificent homes or the estates of collectors. 

We have timed online only auctions, live auctions, and online-only auctions, that are held in the Detroit, Michigan area.  Our Michigan auction gallery is located at 425 S. Main St., Suite 202, Rochester, Michigan 48307 and this is where our live auctions are held as well as where customers can view and consign items.  All of our live auctions are free and open to the public, and there is no obligation to bid. However, in order to bid, you must pre-register either in advance or at the auction. When available, you may also watch our auctions online.

Our Goal

MSA’s goal is to realize the highest prices for exceptional items that our sellers have consigned with us by reaching as many buyers as possible. At the same time, buyers can rely on our expertise when searching for the finest items available.
