Upon consigning your item(s) to Michael Stephen Auctions we will execute a seller’s agreement which will outline the responsibilities of the seller and MSA. This will cover such areas as our commission, pre-auction estimate, description of the item(s), the reserve price (the minimum price at which your item(s) will be offered for sale), liability of both parties, marketing, as well as other terms and conditions.
Our commission is calculated based on the final selling price (hammer price) of your item. The commission rate decreases at set intervals when the hammer price reaches certain price points, meaning that we apply a lower commission rate as the price of your item increases with the final hammer price determining such lower commission.
After the details of our consignment are finalized, you will receive the Consignment Agreement which will list each of the items consigned and the terms of our agreement.
However, a credit card must be on file in order to place a bid.
